![]() It’s now been 2 days and I haven’t heard back though I’ve followed up via email - in fact, I forwarded the initial email to the manager's email on their website, but this email address gets bounced back.Īll of this to say, what truly differentiates a good hotel from a great one is how you treat your guests, and how you handle issues that arise. They did let me know that they don't replace sheets during your stay so I slept on that stain for 2 nights. Upon checkout, they offered me no explanation (though they did as if I was sure it wasn’t my blood) but said someone would get back to me that day. Christian gave me his email and told me to email him pictures and he’d have management get back to me the next day. My biggest question: what 5-star hotel asks me to replace my sheets that they left blood on rather than offer me a different room or frankly anything else as an apology? The gentlemen who brought them to the room was kind enough to put them on for me and took the dirty sheets. I called downstairs and Christian apologized but said due to the time he could only deliver me sheets but nobody could put them on. ![]() ![]() I got back to the room around 1 am and saw the room made up but the stain was still there - again, no problem, I realize I didn’t call to explicitly request new sheets (though I thought they’d be replaced) but let’s get it fixed. I was on a call so I didn’t get to call downstairs, I just activated the “make up room” button so housekeeping would clean the room (I left the stain visible). It is obviously gross and definitely not ok, but stuff happens - let’s just get it replaced and move on. I moved the comforter and noticed what was clearly a blood stain toward the foot of the bed. On my last night there, I was looking for the remote control to turn the TV off on my way out of the room. I was offered early check-in and a room upgrade which was absolutely fantastic. ![]() The hotel is extremely nice, and the location is incredible, right in the middle of Hudson Yards. While I usually stay at the Pendry, I decided to give the Equinox Hotel a try. ![]()
